Our client, a reputable company within the wine industry, is seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician to join their operations based in Stellenbosch.
The successful candidate will be responsible for performing general maintenance on wine equipment, as well as assisting with the assembly and installation of new machinery. This role requires a proactive, self-motivated individual who is confident working independently and committed to maintaining high operational standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct routine maintenance and repairs on wine equipment
- Assist with the building, installation, and commissioning of new machinery
- Ensure all equipment operates efficiently and safely
- Liaise effectively with the Workshop Manager and machine operators
Minimum Requirements:
- Solid knowledge of electrical, pneumatic, and mechanical systems related to wine equipment (including centrifugal and piston pumps, pressure release valves, actuators, etc.)
- Strong communication skills
- Computer literacy
- Welding experience (steel and stainless steel)
- Valid South African ID
- Valid driver’s licence and own reliable transport
- 3+ years suitable experience
