We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Restaurant General Manager to lead a high-end dining property along Cape Town’s Atlantic Seaboard. This role requires a hands-on leader with a passion for exceptional guest experiences, strong commercial acumen, and the ability to drive a high-performing team in a fast-paced, premium environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee all day-to-day restaurant operations, ensuring seamless service delivery
- Lead, train, and inspire front-of-house and management teams
- Maintain exceptional service standards aligned with a luxury brand
- Drive revenue growth, manage budgets, and control costs
- Monitor and improve guest satisfaction and online reputation
- Collaborate with the Head Chef on menu execution and guest experience
- Manage staffing, scheduling, and performance management
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and company policies
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Restaurant GM or Senior Manager in a high-end or fine dining environment
- Strong leadership and people management skills
- Excellent understanding of food, wine, and service standards
- Commercially driven with strong financial acumen
- Ability to thrive in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment
- Strong communication and guest engagement skills
- Relevant hospitality qualification advantageous
