Assistant Tasting Room Manager

We are seeking a poised and service-driven Assistant Tasting Room Manager to join a well-regarded wine estate in the Constantia Valley. This role is ideal for a hospitality professional who combines operational strength with a genuine passion for wine and guest experience.

Working closely with the Tasting Room Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring the seamless day-to-day running of the tasting room while delivering a consistently high standard of service to both local and international guests.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the management of daily tasting room operations

• Deliver a warm, polished, and engaging guest experience

• Assist in leading and motivating the front-of-house team

• Oversee reservations, guest flow, and service standards

• Handle guest queries, feedback, and special requests with professionalism

• Support stock control, ordering, and merchandising of wine and retail items

• Assist with staff training and ongoing development

• Ensure adherence to brand standards and presentation

Requirements

• Previous experience in a supervisory or assistant management role within hospitality or a wine estate

• Strong knowledge of wine (formal certification advantageous)

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Well-presented, confident, and service-oriented

• Strong organisational ability with attention to detail
