Our client, a well-established agricultural business in the Robertson area, is seeking a detail-oriented and hands-on Compliance & Systems Manager to oversee and improve food safety and compliance systems within their agricultural operations.
Key responsibilities:
- Manage food safety, quality, health & safety, ethical, and environmental systems.
- Conduct internal audits and ensure compliance with standards and requirements.
- Implement corrective actions and drive continuous improvement.
- Manage market registrations and export compliance (DALRRD & PPECB).
- Conduct risk assessments and ensure product integrity.
- Train staff and promote a strong compliance culture.
- Maintain certifications and audit readiness.
- Handle customer complaints and corrective actions.
- Monitor and report on production statistics, including piecework performance and bins harvested.
Minimum requirements:
- Relevant tertiary qualification (Food Technology or similar).
- Minimum 5 years’ compliance experience (agriculture preferred).
- Experience with GLOBALG.A.P., SIZA, WIETA, Farming for the Future, LEAF Marque, HACCP, M&S Select Farm Produce (BRCGS advantageous).
- Experience with retailer standards beneficial (e.g. Tesco, Marks & Spencer).
- Strong computer skills.
- Fully bilingual (English & Afrikaans).
- Valid driver’s license and own transport.
