REQUIREMENTS

• Graphic Design Diploma/Degree.
• At least 3 years post qualification experience.
• Exceptional creativity and innovation – portfolio of work to be submitted with CV.
• Excellent design software knowledge/skills – Adobe CC InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, XD, After effects.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills (English and Afrikaans).
• The ability to work under pressure, independently and in a team.
• Commitment to accuracy, quality, and attention to detail.
• Excellent time management and organisational skills.
• Confident and presentable.

The candidate will be involved in the following design processes:

• Conceptualisation, design and layout of annual reports, books, magazines, marketing material and promotional material.
• Managing client proposals form typesetting through to design, print and production
• Creating infographics and other images in Adobe Illustrator
• Photo editing and preparing images in Adobe Photoshop for print and electronic distribution
• Scheduling of jobs for proofing and production
• Working with clients and briefing and advising them with regard to design style, format, print production and timescales.
• Adhering to a client’s brand identity and guidelines
• Work on multiple briefs at the same time.

Location

• The successful candidate will work at AFRICAN SUN MEDIA in Stellenbosch.
