A prestigious 5-star hotel and estate in Stellenbosch are seeking an experienced and service-driven Food & Beverage Manager to lead its dining, tasting room, lounge, and guest food service operations.

This is a senior leadership role requiring a hands-on hospitality professional with strong operational discipline, commercial awareness, and a passion for delivering exceptional guest experiences within a luxury environment.

The successful candidate will oversee all food and beverage operations across multiple outlets, ensuring world-class service standards, strong financial performance, effective team leadership, and seamless collaboration between front-of-house, kitchen, and hotel operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage all food and beverage operations across restaurants, lounges, tasting facilities, and in-room dining.

  • Drive guest satisfaction and service excellence across all touchpoints.

  • Manage departmental budgets, stock control, margins, and profitability.

  • Lead, mentor, and motivate service teams to maintain exceptional standards.

  • Work closely with the Executive Chef and operational leadership on menu development, service strategy, and guest experience.

  • Oversee staffing, training, scheduling, and performance management.

  • Ensure operational efficiency, preventative maintenance, hygiene, and compliance standards.

  • Introduce innovative ideas and systems to continuously improve the F&B offering.

  • Handle guest engagement and service recovery professionally and effectively.

Minimum Requirements

  • Proven experience in a senior Food & Beverage management role within luxury hospitality.

  • Strong leadership and people management skills.

  • Excellent understanding of restaurant, bar, and hotel operations.

  • Sound financial and commercial acumen.

  • Strong organisational and communication skills.

  • Ability to perform under pressure while maintaining high standards.

  • Experience with POS systems, Protel, and Microsoft Office is advantageous.

  • Professional presentation and service orientation are essential.
