Aan de Doorns Cellar, situated in the Worcester Wine Region, is seeking a dynamic and experienced Production Manager to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and further developing an already successful and sustainable bulk and bottled wine operation. The ability to work effectively within a team and thrive in a fast-paced production environment is essential for this role.
The successful candidate will report to the General Manager and will be responsible for, but not limited to: *Managing and overseeing the entire bulk and bottled wine production process *Blending, stabilising, and preparing wines according to quality standards *Ensuring cellar hygiene and compliance with food safety, quality control, and Health & Safety systems *Managing inventory, stock control, and cellar administration *Leading and supervising the cellar team and one experienced Winemaker *Liaising with suppliers, producer farms and service providers through excellent relationship management*Assisting with product-related marketing activities and client engagements where required *Ensuring efficient production planning and operational excellence *Performing all other duties related to the position.
Essential qualifications, skills and experience:
- A relevant qualification in Viticulture and Oenology;
- Minimum 7 years’ experience as Senior Winemaker or in a Wine Leadership position;
- Excellent computer proficiency (MS Office, WineMS).
