Stofberg Group, an established farming business situated in the Breede Valley, is looking to appoint a Farm Manager and a Junior Production Manager to join their farming operation focused on citrus and wine grape production.
These opportunities are ideal for dynamic individuals with strong leadership, planning, time management, and problem-solving skills. The successful candidates must be able to build and maintain good relationships, work effectively under pressure, and demonstrate a proactive, performance- and quality-driven approach.
The Farm Manager role will report directly to the Owner and be based at Houmoed.
The Junior Production Manager role will report to the relevant Farm Manager and be based at Swartwalle.
Responsibilities will include:
- Management and coordination of production-related activities, from planting to harvesting;
- Workforce management, training, and enforcement of discipline;
- Implementation, monitoring, and reporting of production-related systems;
- Ensuring compliance with quality standards and certifications;
- Cost control and recordkeeping;
- General farm maintenance;
- All other tasks related to the role.
Essential qualifications, skills, and experience:
- A relevant tertiary agricultural qualification;
- The Farm Manager role requires 5–10 years’ relevant experience, while the Junior Production Manager role requires 2–4 years’ relevant experience.
- Experience in the cultivation of citrus and/or wine grapes;
- Strong communication skills (Afrikaans & English);
- Strong computer literacy (MS Office);
- Valid driver’s license.
