An exceptional opportunity exists for a detail-oriented and driven Accountant to join the Finance Team of a prestigious luxury hospitality estate situated in the heart of the Stellenbosch Winelands. This role offers the opportunity to work within a high-end operation renowned for excellence, sophistication, and outstanding guest experiences.
We are seeking a finance professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment, takes ownership of their responsibilities, and is passionate about maintaining the highest standards of financial accuracy and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Capture and reconcile cash books and daily cash-ups
- Process general ledger transactions and journal entries
- Manage debtors administration, including invoicing, account reconciliations, and collections
- Manage creditors administration, including invoice processing, account reconciliations, and payment loading
- Assist with stock administration, invoice capturing, and monthly stocktakes
- Administer petty cash
- Coordinate the ordering of centralised goods
- Perform general finance and administrative duties as required
Minimum Requirements
- Grade 12
- Tertiary qualification in Finance, Accounting, or Bookkeeping (completed or currently in progress)
- Fluent in both English and Afrikaans
- Minimum 3 years' experience in a similar accounting role
- Strong Microsoft Office skills
- Experience working on Pastel (Sage) Evolution or a similar accounting system
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to take ownership and work independently
- Professional communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships across departments
- Flexible, accountable, and highly reliable
Advantageous Experience
- Previous experience within luxury hospitality, luxury hotels, wine estates, lodges, or premium guest-focused environments
- Hospitality, tourism, wine estate, or agricultural industry experience
- Exposure to Easipos
