Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and present exceptional pastries, desserts, breads and baked goods to the highest standards.
  • Maintain strict health, hygiene and food safety standards.
  • Control the quality, quantity and cost of all products prepared within your section.
  • Ensure all mise-en-place is prepared accurately and timeously.
  • Assist with stock control, ingredient ordering and receiving deliveries according to company procedures.
  • Ensure proper food handling and storage in line with HACCP requirements.
  • Maintain consistency in portion control, presentation and plating standards.
  • Contribute to an efficient kitchen operation while maintaining exceptional quality.
  • Foster a positive and collaborative team environment.

Minimum Requirements

  • Grade 12.
  • Professional Chef Certificate or Diploma.
  • Minimum 1–2 years' experience in a high-end professional pastry kitchen.
  • Comfortable interacting within a multicultural environment and serving discerning guests.
  • Flexible and willing to work evenings, weekends and public holidays.
