Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and present exceptional pastries, desserts, breads and baked goods to the highest standards.
- Maintain strict health, hygiene and food safety standards.
- Control the quality, quantity and cost of all products prepared within your section.
- Ensure all mise-en-place is prepared accurately and timeously.
- Assist with stock control, ingredient ordering and receiving deliveries according to company procedures.
- Ensure proper food handling and storage in line with HACCP requirements.
- Maintain consistency in portion control, presentation and plating standards.
- Contribute to an efficient kitchen operation while maintaining exceptional quality.
- Foster a positive and collaborative team environment.
Minimum Requirements
- Grade 12.
- Professional Chef Certificate or Diploma.
- Minimum 1–2 years' experience in a high-end professional pastry kitchen.
- Comfortable interacting within a multicultural environment and serving discerning guests.
- Flexible and willing to work evenings, weekends and public holidays.
