Meridian Wine Merchants is looking for an energetic and customer-focused Sales Representative to join our Sales team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast-paced FMCG environment and enjoys spending time in the trade, building relationships and driving sales performance. 

What you’ll be doing 

• Achieve sales, distribution and product availability targets across an allocated customer territory. 

• Build and maintain strong customer relationships through consistent service and commercial execution. 

• Execute structured customer visits, sales call processes and territory routing plans. 

• Implement promotional campaigns, merchandising standards, wine list execution and trade marketing initiatives. 

• Monitor shelf health, pricing, product visibility and planogram compliance to maximise in-store execution. 

• Process customer orders accurately while maintaining up-to-date customer and sales data using CRM and field sales systems. 

• Identify and report competitor activity, market trends and commercial opportunities to support business growth. 

• Ensure compliance with company policies, operational procedures and sales execution standards while collaborating with internal stakeholders to deliver regional objectives. 

What we’re looking for 

• Grade 12 (Matric). 

• 2–3 years’ experience in FMCG, liquor, retail, merchandising or hospitality sales. 

• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills. 

• Strong planning and organisational ability. 

• Ability to work independently and achieve sales targets. 

• Valid driver’s license.
