We are seeking a passionate and motivated Assistant Winemaker to join our production team.
The successful candidate will work closely with the Winemaker in all aspects of vineyard and cellar operations, including harvest, fermentation management, maturation, blending, quality control, and bottling. This role is designed for someone who is eager to develop into a leadership position, with the opportunity to progressively take over responsibility for day-to-day production and winery operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Winemaker in all cellar and production activities.
- Oversee daily winery operations and ensure quality standards are maintained.
- Oversee daily production operations.
- Monitor fermentations, barrel management, blending, and bottling.
- Maintain accurate production records and ensure compliance with food safety and quality requirements.
- Assume increasing responsibility for production with the goal of independently managing winery operations.
Qualifications:
- Degree or diploma in Viticulture and Oenology or a related field.
- Previous winery or cellar experience preferred.
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and a hands-on approach.
- Ability to work flexible hours during harvest.
- A passion for producing high-quality wines and a desire to grow into a Winemaker role.
