Our client is a leading, industry-driven non-profit organisation committed to promoting ethical labour practices, environmental stewardship, and sustainable agricultural production throughout South Africa. They are looking for a passionate, motivated, and technically competent Compliance Officer to join their dynamic team.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is committed to making a meaningful impact in the agricultural sector by supporting producers in implementing sustainable environmental practices and maintaining market-ready compliance.

Requirements:

  • Hold a B Degree in Labour or Environmental Law and Agriculture.
  • Have at least 3 years of agriculture experience or a postgraduate qualification.
  • Be willing to travel across the country and outside of working hours.
  • Demonstrate an understanding of agricultural practices and South African legislation.
  • Display strong attention to detail and the ability to manage and analyse data.
  • Knowledge and proficiency in Excel, databases, and data management systems to handle digital records and information.
  • Problem-solving skills to identify challenges and drive the implementation of compliance systems.
  • Exhibit the ability to present to and engage with large groups effectively.
  • Possess excellent written and oral communication skills in both Afrikaans and English.
  • Have outstanding interpersonal skills to collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
  • Adaptability and continuous learning abilities.
  • Be willing to work from the company office in Somerset West and travel as required (This position is office-based and does not offer remote working).
