Harvest Intern
Join us for an unforgettable harvest experience at Steenberg Vineyards, a renowned wine estate in the beautiful Constantia Valley. Come with a curious mind ready to learn and hands ready to get dirty!
As a harvest intern, you'll be an integral part of our winemaking team, gaining hands-on experience in all aspects of cellar operations and wine production. You'll work alongside our experienced winemaking team.
The ideal candidate will have the following attributes:
- Have completed a degree in Oenology, Viticulture, or a related field
- Passion for wine and winemaking
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing circumstances
- Physical fitness and willingness to work in a dynamic, outdoor environment
- Good communication and teamwork skills
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Participate in winemaking processes, including grape receipt, fermentation, and wine maturation
- Learn about wine production techniques, cellar operations, and wine quality control
- Assist with general cellar duties, cleaning
- Collaborate with the winemaking team to ensure the production of high-quality wines
