Accountant Stellenbosch

Wine distribution company based in Stellenbosch is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented individual to join their team as Accountant. You will handle daily financial tasks, manage cash flow, and ensure we follow tax and industry rules. You will also track inventory costs, shipping expenses, and supplier accounts.

Key Responsibilities

• Financial Reporting: Make monthly, quarterly, and yearly financial reports.
• Cash Flow Management: Track money coming in and going out to keep the business stable.
• Inventory Accounting: Work with the warehouse team to audit stock and track inventory value.
• Budgeting: Help company leaders create annual budgets and track spending.

Essential qualifications, skills, and experience:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (essential); studying towards or completed SAIPA/SAICA articles advantageous
• Minimum 3-5 years' accounting experience, ideally including management accounts preparation
• Strong Excel skills and comfortable working with XERO accounting systems
• Understanding of stock valuation, logistics costs, and supply chain finance.
• Experience with multi-entity businesses advantageous
• Must be able to work onsite full-time at our office in Stellenbosch
• Own reliable transport
