Cellarmaster/ Winemaker

An unique opportunity exists for a energetic individual to join the Welbedacht  Wine Estate energetic team , an award winning cellar situated in Wellington as our Cellarmaster and winemaker. We are looking for a driven and dedicated person to join us as soon as possible.

The sucessfull candidate will be responsible for the following:

Overseeing and coordinating harvest activities of our own grapes
Full winemaking process ( grapes to bottle) and help with dry goods 
Production and blending of wines
Stock control and dry goods procurement
Liaison with clients, suppliers and industry
All administrative duties including excise, SAWIS etc
SARS-Excise duty administration
Managing and supervising of cellar, tastingroom and staff of cellar
All other tasks relating to this position

You will need the relevant winemaking qualifaction , degree in oenology 
minimum of 3-5 years experience in a similar role
Proven experience in winemaking environment strong leadership and organisational skills
Attention to detail and commitment to quality and very hygiene orientated in cellar
Ability to work under pressure
Willingness to help in tasting room over weekends annd to work hours as per industry requirements
Valid driving liscense
