Winemaking Internship offered at Sijnn Estate Winery

We are looking to employ an enthusiastic and capable winemaking intern from 1 November 2026 to end April 2027 at our Sijnn winery and vineyard in Malgas.

The suitable candidate should be studying or recently finished studying winemaking at Elsenburg or Stellenbosch University and have good wine knowledge. The work will include assisting our winemaker, Kruger Theunissen, with all winemaking operations from racking and bottling to the harvest activities of picking, destemming and crushing, punch downs, pressing etc. 

It is a busy time of the year with visitors to the tasting room and it will be an important part of the job to present tastings, prepare lunch platters and host customers as well as process orders, deliveries and some basic admin.

This is a great opportunity to work in an extraordinary quality vineyard with 14 varieties, producing high end wines like no other. We're looking for someone who can work with a small team in a remote area and not shy away from hard work and long hours.

Own transport essential.
Accommodation will be provided on the farm.
Salary: R9 000 to R12 000 depending on experience.
