Plate & Screen Making Operator

Lebone Paarl Labels, based in Paarl, is looking for a detail-oriented and technically skilled Plate & Screen Making Operator to join our production team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and producing high-quality printing plates and screens according to job specifications, ensuring accuracy, quality standards, and timely production to support the smooth operation of our printing processes.

KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY:

• Follow production plan to make Flexo plates and screens.
• Quality inspection of plates and screens.
• Complete relevant checklists to ensure that the jobs conform to required quality standards.
• Ensure that stock levels of plates, chemicals, screens etc., are maintained
• Minimizing plate waste - use of common plates where possible.
• Conduct maintenance on relevant equipment, i.e. Processor, CTP and other equipment.
• Plan work schedules to meet production goals.

SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES:

• Flexographic printing experience
• Screen printing experience
• Technical equipment competence
• Good manufacturing practices
• Following instructions and procedures
• Highly automated computer to Plate environment

REQUIREMENTS:

• Plate and Screen making Experience
• 3 - 5 years’ experience in the pre-press environment
• 3 – 5 years general experience in Flexo and Digital environment
• Must be available for scheduled on-call/standby shifts on rotating basis.
