Durbanville 
Hillcrest Estate, situated in the Durbanville Wine Valley produces wine and olive products. We are looking for a part-time wine tasting assistant.
Location: Durbanville
Nature of Hours: This is a flexible, casual part-time position. Your hours will vary depending on operational requirements, peak guest seasons and roster demands. You will be required to work scheduled shifts on weekends and public holidays, as these are our busiest periods.
Short-notice coverage: You will be required to maintain reasonable availability to step in on short notice to cover shifts in the event of permanent staff leave, illness or unexpected operational spikes.
This Role would suit a:

- Semi-retired or energetic pensioners who love wine, social interaction and want to stay active without the commitment of a full-time job.
Duties:
- Present wine tastings for both large and small groups
- Selling of wine and olive products
- Operating the POS system
- All aspects of stock control
- General administration
- Tasting room opening and closing procedures (Stock take, cash-up, clean- and readiness of tasting room)
- Respond to email and phone inquiries in timely and professional manner.
- Manage bookings for groups
- Prepare online orders and process courier waybills
- Ensure tasting room is presented to highest standards
- Assist with events.
Requirements:
- Wine knowledge is necessary and olive knowledge will be an advantage
- Reside either in Durbanville or surrounding area
- Must have own reliable transport
- Fluent in English
- Computer literate
- Well-presented and enthusiastic
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Ability to work in a team
- Ability to work under pressure
