Rijk’s Wine Estate and Hotel, situated in the Tulbagh Valley, offers an exciting opportunity for a Chef at their restaurant offering authentic Cape Cuisine.

The ideal candidate is an organised, self-motivated, creative, and reliable individual who is able to work independently and with precision under pressure.

Duties and responsibilities include the following: *preparing and presenting food of high quality *recipe and menu development *training & management of kitchen and restaurant staff *daily stock control *food cost and budgeting *daily planning and placing of food orders *adherence to kitchen health and safety procedures *any other duties related to this position.

Essential qualifications, skills and experience:
• A relevant tertiary qualification and/or accredited practical training;
• At least three (3) years’ experience in a similar position;
• Experience in fine dining will be to the candidate’s advantage;
• Excellent timekeeping and reliability;
• Driver’s license and own reliable transport.
