Our client in the Boland is need of a dynamic Banqueting Manager.

Requirements:
Accredited certification in hospitality with 3-5 years of experience in banqueting management, or similar.

  • In-depth knowledge of the event and banqueting industry as well as their best practices.
  • A hunger to exceed revenue budgets.
  • Exceptional ability to plan banquets, manage budgets and meet deadlines.
  • Outstanding vendor management skills.
  • Interpersonal and excellent communication skills.
  • A can-do attitude and personal charm to greet and sign potential clients and events.
  • Confidence to liaise with role players and deliver what the client wants.

Job description:

  • Marketing and selling conference and banqueting facilities.
  • Scheduling reservations.
  • Operating the facilities profitably.
  • Planning well so that each event runs smoothly.
  • Managing food and beverage teams involved at functions and events.
  • Brainstorming and implementing event plans and concepts.
  • Update management on banqueting and event forecasts.
  • Manage all event set-up, tear down, and follow-up processes.
  • Sign contract with clients.
  • Checking all bills are paid on time, handling budgeting and invoicing.
