Are you an experienced Farm Manager with a passion for both fruit farming and viticulture? Do you have a proven track record of leading agricultural operations with a focus on quality and sustainability? We are looking for a dedicated Farm Manager on a Farm outside of Robertson to oversee the management of our diverse fruit and vineyard operations and to oversee the financial and operational management of the farm. This role requires strong leadership, planning, and execution skills to ensure efficient and profitable operations. The position is based around Robertson.

 Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage day-to-day operations of our vineyards and fruit orchards, ensuring optimal growth and harvest quality;
  • Develop and implement crop management plans for both wine grapes and fruit, including soil health, pest control, irrigation, and fertilization;
  • Lead and develop staff, ensuring efficiency, motivation, and productivity;
  • Monitor and track crop progress, making strategic decisions to improve yields and quality;
  • Work closely with senior leadership to develop long-term strategies for sustainable farming practices and growth;
  • Ensure compliance with all agricultural regulations and environmental practices;
  • Ensure implementation and management of compliance audits and systems;
  • Manage budgets, resources, and equipment to maintain efficient farm operations;
  • General maintenance of the farm

 Minimum Qualifications and Skills requirements:

  • Grade 12 and a relevant tertiary qualification in Agricultural (Degree/Diploma);
  • At least 5 years experience in a Management position;
  • Experience with compliance audits (Wieta, Siza, Fairtrade, Global Gap) will be advantageous;
  • Excellent interpersonal and conflict management skills;
  • A proactive, hands-on approach with excellent problem-solving skill;
  • Good communication skills (Afrikaans and English);
  • Ability to work independently;
  • Self driven and ability to motivate a team;
  • Computer literate;
  • Valid drivers license
