Saxenburg Wine Estate, a family-owned estate, is seeking a dynamic and motivated Marketing, Communications, and Organisational Manager. This role is key to growing the Saxenburg brand across platforms and with stakeholders, both internally and externally.

Responsibilities

Brand Management

  • Manage social media content creation, posting, monitoring, and community engagement across platforms (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, TikTok, YouTube).
  • Plan and implement social media ad campaigns via Business Manager.
  • Drive growth on online platforms through strategic initiatives.
  • Oversee brand image and development, ensuring consistency across channels.
  • Maintain a digital library of marketing material, logos, and brand assets.
  • Set-up, manage and report on the Marketing and Wine Club budget.
  • Identify and build relationships with influencers and brand ambassadors to expand Saxenburg's reach.
  • Continuously enhance the customer experience across all touchpoints, from website interactions to wine club memberships.

Content Creation

  • Write SEO-optimized blogs and compelling marketing copy.
  • Produce and edit high-quality photography and video content for social media, website, and campaigns.
  • Organize photoshoots for brand photography and manage packaging photos and bottle shots.
  • Develop creative campaigns and exciting brand narratives.
  • Conduct market research and competitor analysis.
  • Stay updated on marketing trends and implement innovative strategies to grow Saxenburg across all departments.
  • Design and oversee the creation of wine labels, packaging, and other marketing collateral

Website Management & eCommerce

  • Maintain and update website content for a seamless user experience.
  • Manage eCommerce operations: product listings, wine club/sale discounts, and order fulfilment.
  • Liaise with digital agencies for technical updates and SEO optimization.
  • Build and grow the direct-to-consumer (DTC) offering.

Email Marketing

  • Manage customer databases and design impactful newsletter campaigns.
  • Create and execute email marketing strategies, including automation (e.g., cart abandonment, sign-ups).
  • Stay current with email marketing trends for effective communication.

General Administration & Reporting

  • Create monthly analytics reports on social media, website traffic, and sales performance.
  • Collaborate across departments to streamline information and ensure execution.
  • Manage quotations and production for marketing collateral.

Public Relations

  • Coordinate media opportunities and manage public perception.
  • Develop and distribute press releases and marketing collateral.
  • Plan and host private wine-tasting events.
  • Collaborate with influencers and wine writers.

Wine Club Management

  • Oversee the Wine Club, Wine Club events, activations, and member communications.
  • Drive initiatives to grow the Wine Club and enhance member experiences.
  • Manage order fulfilment and ensure seamless customer engagement.

 

Candidate Requirements

Qualifications

  • Relevant tertiary degree or higher diploma in Marketing.

Experience

  • 3+ years in brand management/marketing.
  • 3+ years in social media management.
  • Proven project management skills.

Skills & Knowledge

  • Strong digital marketing and design proficiency.
  • Expertise in WordPress/WooCommerce, MailChimp, Canva, and MS Office.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Analytical, detail-oriented, and capable of cross-department collaboration.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and adaptable with a positive attitude.

 

Additional Information

  • Salary: Market-related, based on experience.
  • Reporting to: Proprietor, Fiona Bührer.
  • Transport: Own transport and laptop required.
