Vacancy - Tasting Room Assistant (6-month contract)

Ashton Winery is seeking an enthusiastic and customer-oriented Tasting Room Assistant to join our team for a 6-month contract period.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct wine tastings and educate visitors about our products
• Provide excellent customer service and create a welcoming atmosphere
• Process sales transactions and manage inventory
• Daily processing of sales and shipping of orders
• Handle routine purchasing transactions and accounting for daily sales
• Complete daily stocktakes
• Assist with special events and promotions
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the tasting room

Requirements:

• Matric Certificate required
• 2 Years experience in a similar position in the wine industry
• At least three contactable references
• Driver’s License and own transport
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Wine knowledge (additional training provided)
• Proficient in Microsoft Office
• Ability to work weekends
• Cash handling and POS system experience preferred
