wine.co.za is looking for an e-commerce manager to run our various online stores. 

wine.co.za, established in 1996, leads the way in marketing South African wine.

We are looking for someone dynamic to join our team in Somerset West to manage our many ecommerce platforms. The role includes customer and client (winery/distributor) communications, processing orders, logistics/fulfillment, reporting to management, and liaising with all stakeholders.

SKILLS/EXPERIENCED NEEDED

  • Familiarity with systems and e-commerce platforms
  • Wine and wine industry knowledge
  • Attention to detail
  • Customer service focus
  • Communication - good clear spoken and written English and Afrikaans

FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB

  • Processing orders on all e-commerce platforms 
  • Communicating and liaising with all stakeholders through whichever means necessary: wineries, customers, affiliates, suppliers, trade and freight companies  
  • Managing logistics - dealing with shipping/freight companies
  • Keeping wines updated online
  • Preparing curated cases
  • Packing boxes and preparing orders for dispatch
  • Managing and processing invoices from wineries and couriers
  • Receiving, dispatching and managing stock in the warehouse and at couriers
  • Reporting to the team on analytics/KPIs
  • Assist with marketing campaigns and briefing the team as required for promotions and communications
  • Posting on Social media and managing the communities
  • Representing wine.co.za at events and tastings
  • Working closely with the team for the greater good of the company
  • Answering the phone

EXPERIENCE AND INTEREST IN THE FOLLOWING WILL BE AN ADVANTAGE

  • Marketing, mailers, graphic design
  • Shopify
  • E-commerce platforms, automation, analytics, conversion rate optimization
  • Direct-to-consumer sales/services
  • Logistics
