The position would suit a new graduate and/or someone with a keen aptitude for the digital world and willingness to learn & grow.

CONTENT MARKETER - ROLE DEFINITION

  • Curate and manage content across all wine.co.za platforms. Ensuring content is up to date, accurate, creative, relevant and reader-focused (text, video, audio, images), in order to maximise readership and revenue. These include managing our News & Social Media platforms  (curate, generate, post, report, analyse)
  • Be an ambassador for wine.co.za – visiting wineries, representing the company at events and functions, often after hours. The role includes networking, building relationships and generating effective content for wine.co.za
  • Work well with the rest of the wine.co.za team, with a keen eye on relevant dynamic content, in order to maximise readership and revenue.
  • Keep up-to-date with digital technology, social media trends, the wine industry and act proactively.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Digital Content management skills
  • Good communication skills
  • Knowledge of and passion for wine and the South African winelands
  • Ability to drive and driver’s licence, in order to visit wineries & attend events, often after hours
  • Willingness to learn

BENEFICIAL EXPERIENCE & TRAINING:
Experience & qualifications in these areas will be an advantage:

  • Proven work experience in effective use of Social media
  • Hands on experience in content management and generation
  • Excellent writing, networking, analytical & communication skills
  • Knowledge of digital marketing channels
  • Knowledge of SEO, keyword research and Google Analytics
  • Tertiary education in Marketing, Wine and/or Digital marketing or relevant field an advantage
