Our client, a farming concern situated about 40km outside Ceres, is currently looking for a Financial Manager to join their team.

Main duties: 

  • Processing, checking and supervision of accounting and accounting records up to trial balance
  • Tax administration
  • Drafting of financial statements and assistance to auditors
  • General management of the financial and administrative divisions
  • Personnel management
  • Preparation of timely, accurate and complete weekly/monthly financial and management information
  • Cash flow budget
  • Coordination of all relevant information and documentation
  • Advise and assist in the implementation and maintenance of internal financial controls and procedures
  • Effective management and utilization of systems
  • Financial planning and budgeting in conjunction with the rest of the management and board of directors 

 Minimum requirements: 

  • Com Financial/Management Accounting Degree
  • Completed SAIPA clerkship will be to the applicant's benefit
  • Minimum of 4 years in a management role
  • Experience in the agricultural industry will be to the applicant's advantage
  • Experience in managing people
  • Experience in all facets of accounting processing, administration and reporting
  • Advanced computer skills (Pastel, Excel, or others)
  • Afrikaans and English proficient to high standard (reading, writing and spoken)
