Job Description:  Sculler

Purpose: The primary responsibility of the sculler is making sure that the glassware, dishes, pots and pans are constantly cleared, clean and properly stored. The scullery is also responsible for maintaining the store rooms and kitchen’s overall cleanliness.

Reporting line: The position reports to the FOH Manager.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

- Setting up tables in the morning

- Must be able to load & unload the dish-washing machine

- Certain pots, pans, utensils and silverware must be loaded correctly, with helps the machine operate   

   efficiently & effectively.

- The temperature has to be at the correct setting & the correct amount of dish-washing liquid should

   be used.

- Also required to take out the trash & make sure it is secure inside the correct waste bin. 

- Maintain the cleanliness of the overall kitchen, bins, sweep & mop throughout the day.

- Clean the store rooms weekly.

- When required to pack away the deliveries.

- Cleaning the dishwashers, scullery area & kitchen floors after service daily.  

- Security, Health and Safety.

- Other duties as assigned by Managers.      

Qualifications and experience:

Literate

Previous experience as a cleaner in a restaurant kitchen.

English Speaking – second language is fine.
