Blaauwklippen Wine Estate is looking for an experienced Assistant Manager for our Farm Shop & Family Market.

The ideal candidate must be self-motivated, hard-working, enthusiastic, and have a strong stock control, administration, and processing background to assist the General Manager with the day-to-day management and operations of the hospitality division.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDES BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

  • Assist with the management and daily operations of the Farm Shop & Deli, Family Market, Bike Track and Outdoor Experience Centre and related events and activations
  • Assist with the management of hospitality staff and train staff members according to established criteria
  • Assist in recruiting new producers and vendors to expand the variety of products for sale - both on the farm and online
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and yearly hospitality sales reports and stock control
  • Assist in the development and management of the department’s budget and control expenditures to budgetary requirements
  • Assist in development of branded digital content and targeted messaging

QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS & ABILITIES:

  • Minimum 3 years hospitality management experience
  • Management of daily hospitality operations, stock control, and retail experience
  • Hospitality financial management experience – reporting, budgeting, stock control and reconciliation
  • Strong administrative skills
