Our client, an international agricultural group with multiple business units in various countries, is offering an exciting opportunity for analytical and strategic Packhouse Capacity Manager to join their Stellenbosch team. The successful candidate will assist the Manager of this division in translating the market/sales demand into both short-term and long-term packing production plans and to assist with driving improvements in packhouse capacities, efficiencies, overall quality of functionality, and their service levels.

Key performance areas:

  • Stock Control, including:
    • Laying out packing instructions per packhouse from the packhouse allocations sheet and sending to the respective packhouses
    • Updating packing instructions continuously and sending out revisions daily
  • Logistics Administration, including:
    • Compiling the various reports on a weekly basis and submitting to the Packhouse Capacity Manager
    • Compiling all the above-mentioned reports cumulatively on a monthly basis to see the effect for the month and submitting to the Packhouse Capacity Manager
  • Operations Coordination, including:
    • Verifying Batch intake against delivery note on the exporting system
    • Downloading orders from the suppliers’ portal and loading it onto export system
    • Downloading the goods received notes from the customers’ portal and loading it onto  export system
    • Comparing consignments to intakes on systems

Candidate requirements:

  • Relevant tertiary diploma/certificate
  • Capacity planning experience (3-5 years)
  • FMCG experience (3-5 years)
  • Driver’s license and own transport
  • Fruit industry knowledge (3-5 years)
  • Packhouse systems knowledge (3-5 years)
  • Strong interpersonal skills

Salary on offer:

  • Our client is offering a CTC package of up to R25 000pm
