Ernie Els Wines, situated in theStellenbosch region, is looking for an experienced, dynamic and energetic person who will provide Internal Sales and logistical support role to the Sales and Marketing Manager and Logistical Manager. The incumbent will assist the teams to execute customer requests regarding sales orders, logistics, administration and marketing queries.

Duties and responsibilities:

Internal Sales

  • Capture all wine sales orders from customers.
  • Liaise and ensure all orders are correct
  • Deal with and following up sales enquiries to ensure sales orders of Brand Managers/ Trade Marketers/ Customers/ Public are executed
  • Improve customer satisfaction through by following up sales transaction effectively to ensure that the agreed orders are delivered to the customer at the agreed palace and time. Be the first point of contact when dealing with incoming phone calls related to sales queries and online
  • Handling of non-conformities and complaints, backorder monitoring, releasing stock, customer care, credit enquires, filling & miscellaneous. Primarily assists the sales team, focusing mostly on managing schedules and the distribution of any sales documentation.
  • Prepares and then follows up on any sales quotations made for clients, negotiating terms with the client at a cost best suited for them.
  • Be able to efficiently respond to any online or telephone queries in a calm and friendly manner.
  • Liaise between departments and the client to provide the service most suitable to the client’s needs, cost and time restraints.
  • Work closely with the Sales team to assess the progress of the department and develop Sales strategy accordingly.
  • Produce Sales reports from the Accounting system on the progress within the department on a weekly and refer to the SM on a monthly basis
  • Responsible for sales and maintenance of Wine club, database and its members


  • Arrange all Wine logistics for regional wine shows, events, promotions and brand activations.
  • Manage fulfilment of sales from wine dinners, wine shows, private customers and events in all regions
  • Assists marketing team with all administrative work.


Qualifications and experience:

  • Educational certification from related fields/ Marketing / Sales / Administration
  • 3 years of experience in internal sales roles with the understanding of the wine industry
  • Previous experience in the wine industry is advantageous
  • Previous experience as internal salesperson in a marketing department will have preference
  • Experience in Pastel Evolution, or other accounting package/ stock system
  • Proficient in MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint
