Heritage Hospitality Recruitment has a lovely opportunity available for a Front of House Supervisor for a beautiful restaurant and tasting room situated on a top wine estate in the Franschhoek Valley.  This restaurant is open for lunches only, except for the occasional evening function.

The ideal individual will have excellent communication skills, a strong attention to detail and accuracy, be client focused, and be able to function well within a team.  A hospitality related qualification would be a plus, and at least 2 years in a supervisory position within a well-recognized restaurant is essential.  

Key areas of responsibility include -

  • Organize and coordinate operations to ensure maximum efficiency
  • Assist in supervising the front of house staff and coordinate staffing
  • Act as link between FOH and BOH (kitchen)
  • Ensure supplies and equipment are adequate in quantity and quality
  • Assist in marketing the facility and the brand and deliver a guest liaison role of exceptional and professional standards
  • Coordinate and expedite online orders
  • Implement dynamic operational working procedures, to support the delivery of service excellence
  • Develop strong communication and line reporting procedures to guide service implementation making improvements or changes where required
  • Perform opening and closing duties, cash-ups and process invoices, and handle customer complaints where necessary
  • Stock control and management
  • Assist in co-ordinating and executing exceptional internal staff functions, bookings, tastings, and events.
