A Wine farm in the Franschhoek area seeks to employ a Warehouse Supervisor. We are looking for an honest, hardworking, enthusiastic and reliable candidate to be appointed in the above mentioned position.
Requirements:
- Excellent communication skills ( English & Afrikaans)
- Previous experience in a production/wine environment
- Work well under pressure and in a team environment
- Own transport
- Grade 12
- Tertiary qualification :Diploma in Warehouse Management
- 2 years’ experience in inventory control and warehouse within the wine industry; 2 year winemaking cellar experience or SKOP 1-3
- SAWIS Pienkkaarte
- Computer literate (NAV)
- Strong administrative skills
- Accuracy
Duties:
- Ensure the chemical file is up to date with COC’s and daily stock movement (issue and receivals).
- Ensures that all pre-bottling and blending tanks are cleaned according to procedure and protocol.
- Supply tank cleaning instructions to Blending team on a daily basis
- Gives instructions of off-loading program of Bulk wines and specifies tank to be off-loaded in.
- Adjustments of SO2 as per instructions from QC/Winemakers before bottling.
- Purchasing of additives, chemicals and cleaning agents for pre-bottling and blending tanks.
- Issuing of Dry goods to Production lines
- Ensures dry goods are issued on time as per procedure, production program and product specification supplied by the Production & Logistics manager.
- Ensures all dry goods are accepted and returned on a daily basis after completion of production.
- Responsible for the issuing of necessary documentation for receival and return of dry goods
- Controlling of stock in 2 warehouses
- Ensures all orders as picked in time and correct according to loading schedule/order/transfer and according to client specifications and be ready for specified collection or delivery date.
- Issue all required documents for removal of all stock to own and 3rd party warehouses.
- Report any defects/shortages on dry goods to Production & Logistics manager.
- Ensures all pallets and bins are marked before they are stacked away in the correct location.
- All dispatching of orders by truck and containers
- Ensures all containers are loaded according to client specifications.
- Ensures all orders are picked (domestic / co-loads to third party warehouse) as per loading schedule.
- Ensure all stock is loaded with the correct documentation required.
- Weekly and month-end stock takes
- General
- Ensures that repacks/reworks and non-conformances are done according to specifications.
- Provides input into the budget for the applicable budget codes.
- Manages 3 forklift fleet
Salary: Market Related
