Quality Management System

Manages the strategic implementation of BRC
* Ensures annual surveillance and re-certification audits are carried out
* Establishes and implements necessary communication strategy for the for the improvement and awareness of quality issues across all departments
* Ensures that all non-conformances and corrective actions are completed and logged
* Ensures that all work instructions, operating procedures are current and complied with

People Management

* Guides and support staff in production processes
* Ensures effective communication between management and QC and production

Health & Safety

* Promotes a healthy and safe environment by contributing to the ongoing improvement of safety awareness an practices
* Production processes must be monitored and changes are initiated in accordance with the company's Hygiene Management System and Procedures

Skills Required

* Good basic knowledge and understanding of quality control processes and food and safety and quality standards
* Excellent administrative and numeric skills
* Good Afrikaans and English communication skills
* Strong planning and organizing skills
* Problem solving skills
* Interpersonal and communication skills
* Computer Literacy 
* Knowledge of BRC
* Team player and collaborate with other to achieve common objective: customer satisfaction, food safety culture
* Must be able to work independently 

Job Summary

* Perform all quality measurements, ensuring conformance to specifications
* Perform all administrative duties e.g. revision of procedures, compilation of reports etc.
* Assist MD with all quality related duties
* Operate laboratory equipment in line with standard operating procedures
* Conduct quality control checks on incoming raw material, in process product and finished products.
* Maintain record keeping related to BRC system

Qualifications and Experience

* Experience in quality control or assurance laboratory in food/wine industry
* Exposure to food safety systems: BRC,ISO22000 and HACCP
