Our client in Paarl is looking for a Front of House Manager, reporting to the Brand Home Manager.

This position has a hospitality role and will be responsible for the day to day operations in the tasting room, this includes building brand awareness at the tasting room, wine shows or at functions.

Always exceed guest expectations through service excellence plus achieve revenue targets and maintain world class hospitality standards.
The successful candidate will be expected to work a 45 hour work week, which will include Saturdays, Sundays and Public Holidays on a regular basis. 

Key Performance Areas would include, but are not limited to:

  • Implementation of the integrated Brand Home consumer engagement plan.
  • Responsible for Consumer and Corporate VIP satisfaction of the Brand Home experience.
  • Conduct tours and tastings for all guests including VIP visitors, as well as hosting functions and events.
  • Monthly Brand Home statistics and control documents completed and on time.
  • Assist to update and implement the Quality Management System on Brand crafters.
  • Assist in ensuring that the monthly ICC reports and audits are completed and accurate.
  • Review and update tour and tasting information.
  • Assist with internal procurement as per budget.
  • Assist to update the point of sales and Dine plan booking system.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive training material for Brand Home service, sales and consumer interaction.
  • Drive healthy relationships with external partners and joint ventures.

 The successful candidate must have the following experience/skills:

  • A Tertiary qualification in Public Relations, hospitality, tourism or event co-ordination, will be an advantage.
  • Experience in the wine industry and a Preliminary Cape Wine Academy course, will be an advantage.
  • Ability to work independently and cope under pressure.
  • Excellent communication skills on all levels with sound employee relationship
  • Excellent presentation skills and the ability to adapt to different groups and their needs.
  • Should be fully bilingual with excellent interpersonal skills (English and Afrikaans).
  • Good problem solving ability.
  • Be able to act professionally and in confidence at all times.
  • Proven administrative experience including strong literacy and numeric ability.
  • Proven sales experience will be an advantage
  • Proven literacy in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
  • Valid driver’s license and own transport.


Qualifications Required:

Minimum of Grade 12 and/ or equivalent qualification with at least two years relevant experience.
