Pierneef a La Motte Restaurant in the Franschhoek valley requires a passionate pastry chef

The successful candidate will be responsible for the following:

The daily run and overseeing of all pastry and farm shop preparations
Creating innovative à la carte desserts, pastries, and confectionary for all necessary departments
Kitchen inventory and stock management
Staff management
Working closely with all chefs in the run of the kitchen.

Applications are awaited from persons who comply with the following:

A degree or diploma in culinary arts.
4 years’ experience in a similar position
1 years’ experience in a senior role
An extensive repertoire of pastry and confectionary techniques and trends
Strong leadership and communication skills
Able to function as part of a team
Able to work in a fast-paced environment with challenging deadlines
Willingness to work on weekends and public holidays
Own transport
