Our client in the Franschhoek region is looking for a competent and experienced Function & Event Coordinator to assist in the busy and thriving activities of a top Winelands Estate. The successful candidate will possess over outstanding organizational & communication skills, meticulous planning skills and a passion for upmarket hospitality sector.

 

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS

  • Coordination of events - assist events manager from start to finish with events set up and preparation of function venues
  • Conducts administrative tasks as directed by the Events Manager
  • Manages daily bookings of Estate activities on ‘Activity Bridge’ & ensures all relevant information is current and accurate
  • Coordination of Estate VIP visits
  • Customer service - Addresses all clients and customers in a professional and courteous manner
  • Positively & actively promotes the company services and products

 

REQUIREMENTS

  • Previous experience in an event / function environment
  • Excellent communication (fluent in English & Afrikaans) and negotiation skills
  • Computer literacy MS Office
  • A customer service driven individual
  • Experience in upmarket / fine dining Hospitality service
  • Qualification in Business management/ Hospitality management and/ or Project management

 

SALARY:

R15 000 (negotiable depending on experience)

January / February 2018
