Warehouse Inventory Supervisor (Production / Manufacturing)

The successful candidate will monitor and maintain current inventory levels, ensuring quantities that appear on the system reflects stock on hand and is readily available when required for both dry and finished foods  Responsible for the daily stock count process and the timely updating of stock movement records to ensure stock levels are accurate on the system.

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS:
Stock Coordination
• Ensure an accurate and updated system of recording all stock movements on the system
• Complete stock movement updates on the systems (e.g. location to location moves etc.) on a daily basis ensuring that the system accurately reflects stock on hand and is readily available.
• Investigate product shortages during picking and supply alternative location / products.  Update the system to reflect actions taken.
• Process the disposal of obsolete/redundant stock with the approval of the Warehouse Manager.
• Ensure that FIFO is optimally executed in operation to minimise application problems.
• Monitor and create FIFO processes

Administration processes
• Develop and implement systems to ensure accurate documentation is processed within stipulated deadlines
• Check documentation and perform detailed comparisons to ensure that variances are highlighted timeously between what was loaded versus what was packed.
• Investigate all problem areas and highlight corrective action to the Finished Goods Warehouse Supervisor to avoid future reoccurrence.

Daily stock count processes
• Select daily SKU’s to complete cycle counts for stock controller
• Ensure that stock sheets are generated and coordinate stock counts on a daily basis according to company procedures and stock variances are addressed.
• Resolve variances by investigating the system or responsible for initiating recounts on a daily basis.
• Update the system to match system to physical stock on a daily basis.
• Report summary results to the Warehouse Manager.

Health, Safety & Housekeeping
• Ensure compliance with statutory legislation (OHC Act) and all company safety and hygiene policies and procedures are adhered to.
• Ensure housekeeping is kept in order and meets required standards.
• Ensure work environment is neat, tidy and safe.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
• Grade 12 or Equivalent
• Diploma in Warehousing/Inventory/Stock Management
• A relevant stock control qualification will be advantageous
• Valid drivers’ licence
• Computer literacy (MS Office, SAGE)
• Min. 5 years’ experience in a similar position (Wine Industry / FMCG)
